(10/18/2019) Rainfall Total: —
Current Burn Bans: Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Lee, Robertson, Waller, & Washington Counties!
Current Watches, Warnings, & Advisories: None!
After a cooler, somewhat wet week, temperatures will begin to climb on the warmer side of the thermometer this weekend across the Brazos Valley. Temperatures are heading into the upper 80’s and heat index values will feel like the lower 90’s. Alongside increasing humidity, spotty showers will be possible both Saturday & Sunday, but won’t be a washout.
A chance for low-level severe weather is possible Sunday, as a boundary stalls over the Brazos Valley Sunday and our next cold front slips out of the Rockies. That could lead to some thunderstorms across North Texas Sunday afternoon/evening. The cold front slides towards the Brazos Valley and could leading to a few stronger to severe storms Sunday night into Monday morning ahead of that cold front. The cold front will slip temperatures into the 60’s Monday and it’ll be harder to warm up throughout the day. Cooler weather remains on hand through much of the upcoming week before an even stronger (and second) cold front reaches the Brazos Valley.
