Brazos Valley Dense Fog Advisory (01/27)!

BREAKING: The National Weather Service has issued a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties in the Brazos Valley through 10 AM Monday morning.

Clear skies, calm winds and temperatures dropping to the dewpoint temperature should allow for widespread fog. Not all areas will observe dense fog but the potential exists for much of the region. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Forecast Discussion:
Our cold front arrives Sunday morning, clearing the clouds, rains and leading to ample sunshine, mid-70° weather to wrap up the weekend locally. Clear skies lead to areas of dense fog by Monday morning, leading to a DENSE FOG advisory for the Central-Eastern Brazos Valley. The fog should lift by mid-morning after morning lows fall into milder upper 40’s.
 
After the fog clears, sunshine returns and afternoon temperatures run around the 70° mark Monday afternoon. Another chance for dense fog is expected Tuesday morning, alongside a mixture of scattered showers early Tuesday, before of our next cold front. This cold front looks to arrive Tuesday afternoon into the evening. Scattered showers, isolated thunderstorms accompany this system. Rain totals manage a measly 0.20″-0.50″. This front brings cooler weather and a chance for additional rainfall on the back half of the week in the Brazos Valley.
