WIND ADVISORIES ISSUED FOR THE BRAZOS VALLEY THROUGH 6 PM MONDAY. At long last! Our latest cold front is making it’s way through the Brazos Valley Sunday night, bringing a colder, windy start to the last week of December. A very, very thin line of showers moved through the Brazos Valley Sunday night, leaving a few droplets for a select few of us. The real rainmaker, alongside snow and wintry weather, is occurring across the Upper Midwest and Northeast United States. This latest cold front, however will work it’s magic between Christmas and New Year’s week, bringing the potential for freezes for a couple of mornings.

Temperatures struggle to crack the 50° mark Monday afternoon in the Brazos Valley, with many likely not crawling out of the middle-to-upper 40s by the afternoon hours. A blustery north wind blows 15-20 mph, with gusts upwards to 35 mph throughout the day, making it feel much colder outside. Fire danger also remains elevated throughout the day Monday, because of drier, windy conditions. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings finds lows in the upper 20s to middle 30s across the Brazos Valley. Wednesday is likely the morning to find a widespread freeze across the Brazos Valley. Madisonville, TX could drop as low as 29° outdoors. Highs eventually return to the 60s midweek, before highs top out near 80° to end the week. The first weekend of the New Year sees a weak front moving back in to drop us into the 70s.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
