Forecast Discussion:
Morning lows are expected in the lower 60s the next few mornings across the Brazos Valley under mild, humid conditions. Similar conditions exist the next few days, as the past few days, but with a touch more humidity and a few more degrees added to the thermometer. Winds blow out of the south between 5-15mph throughout Thursday, leading to a lesser chance for areas of fog across the Brazos Valley to start the day. However, light fog is still possible across rural areas in the Brazos Valley, so use caution on your morning commute to work/school. Clouds are also on tap each morning through the end of the week before gradual clearing finds temperatures in the mid/upper 80s across the region.

Over the weekend, a weak cool front moves through Central and Southeast Texas, bringing temperatures down into the middle 70s Saturday afternoon and early evening. Of course, those readings are cooler than what we’ve been experiencing the past several weeks across the Brazos Valley. Unfortunately, this frontal system is drier, meaning the Brazos Valley still lacks the necessary rainfall as we begin the start of the vernal equinox (spring season). By the first weekend of April, there are signals a storm outbreak could occur across Texas, Oklahoma, and the Eastern Plains. This means the region could find some beneficial rainfall across the Brazos Valley early April, but the amount, timing, and impacts of these rainstorms aren’t completely known just yet. For now, the extended forecast looks to wrap up drier across the Brazos Valley for March.
