Forecast Discussion:
A very warm, humid week is in store for Central and Southeast Texas, as Gulf air continues to build moisture into the atmosphere throughout the next several days. Several disturbances will move through the Brazos Valley this week, creating spotty storm chances mid-to-late week. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday (20%) and Thursday (40%), as well as Monday (30%). By the start of the upcoming weekend, a cold front looks to move through Central and Southeast Texas, bringing a chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms in the Brazos Valley Friday, before becoming scattered by Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to be hot heading through the last few days of April 2026 across the Brazos Valley. Highs run between the middle 80s to the 90° mark Monday through Wednesday. By Friday, once the cold front moves through the Brazos Valley, the added clouds and rainfall drop temperatures into the the lower 70s (a 20° difference) to start the weekend. In fact, high temperatures could fall a few degrees short of the 70° (remaining in the 60s) Saturday afternoon across the Brazos Valley. Sunday brings high temperatures back in the 70s as we begin the first stretch of May 2026. Either way, it’ll be a cloudier, warm week (generally) for the region before better rain chances and a drop in temperatures by the upcoming weekend.
