Forecast Discussion:
Another cool morning in the 40s areawide Tuesday morning, followed by an afternoon in the 70s across the Brazos Valley, which was a touch warmer than Monday. Morning lows return to the lower 50s Wednesday morning under clouds. Temperatures continue to warm throughout the week across Southeast and Central Texas, leading to highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s through Friday. Friday could be a few degrees “cooler,” as a rainier outlook is expected across the Brazos Valley to begin the upcoming weekend. Clouds also continue to build into the back half of the week and into weekend across the Brazos Valley.

Across the Eastern United States, high pressure is lingering, allowing southern winds to fuel warm, Gulf moisture back into Coastal Texas over the next couple of days. Temperatures and clouds cover increase midweek as a result, as well as humidity levels and the chance for boosted rainfall by the weekend. A few isolated showers are possible as early Thursday, but more likely Friday and Saturday across the region. A few stronger storms are possible through the weekend, with the more likely chance Friday and Saturday for the Brazos Valley, however the timing and intensity of these storms are still undermined. Bottom line: a few disruptions are possible throughout the weekend, as heavy downpours, gusty winds, and lightning could become (at the least) a concern.
