Forecast Discussion:
Well, the Christmas Holiday isn’t looking very cheerful outside in terms of cold, snowy weather for the State of Texas. Most of the extended forecast features warming, cloudier weather through the end of the week. We’ll begin each morning with areas of patchy fog and low clouds, with a very, very isolated chance for some drizzling rain/mist. Sunshine returns by the afternoon, leading to temperatures in the upper 70s to 80° across Southeast Texas. That forecast holds through Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the upcoming weekend for the Brazos Valley. A southerly breeze will also be on hand, fueling warm, Gulf air into the atmosphere. In turn, that leads to those foggy mornings and humid afternoons.

Rain chances look very bleak through the end of the week. However, we cannot rule out a quick shower or two, as the sea breeze moves inland over Southeast Texas. Overall, most (if not all) remain dry going forward across the Brazos Valley. By next week, the forecast looks to go cold, as our next major weather system moves through. Highs could be in the 50s for several days. We’re still a few days out from getting the complete picture. For now, we’re focused on the warm and muggy weather for the Christmas holiday for the Brazos Valley.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
