Forecast Discussion:
Another weekend with unseasonably warm weather across Southeast Texas. Mornings begin in the 60s across the Brazos Valley, before afternoon sunshine takes us into low 80s Saturday and Sunday. Areas of patchy fog and cloudier weather are possible the next few mornings, as that Gulf moisture continues to pour over into the atmosphere across Southeast Texas. That means the afternoons are also a more humid as well. Be sure to use caution on local roadways, especially along rural areas, the next few mornings, and use your head beams in thicker, foggy areas.
If you’re looking for colder, seasonable weather, that comes as early as Monday morning for the Lone Star State. A very potent cold front looks to move through the Lower 48 this weekend, arriving in Central and Southeast Texas late Sunday into early Monday. In turn, colder and windier weather, alongside a chance for a few showers are possible to kickstart the week. A 30% chance for scattered showers are on the books Sunday night, before a north wind drops us into the upper 30s Monday morning. We’ll struggle to crack the 50s Monday and Tuesday afternoons. The coldest portion of the week comes Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, where a light freeze is possible and temperatures drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s across the Brazos Valley. Temperatures more back towards seasonable standards to ring in the New Year 2026.
5-Day Weather Outlook:
Saturday: High 80. Low 64. Partly Cloudy.
