Forecast Discussion:
Entering the second full week of 2026 under cool, drier conditions across Southeast and Central Texas. There is a chance for a few light sprinkles Monday and Tuesday, with the added cloud cover. Sunshine and highs around 60° ends our Sunday evening, before a cooler night takes over the Brazos Valley. Morning lows dip around 35° Monday morning in the Brazos Valley, with a frost possible across Houston, Leon, and Madison Counties. Be sure to bring in the outdoor pets, protect your plants, and stay warm.
Afternoon highs warm into the lower-to-middle 60s throughout the upcoming week, which is seasonable for this time of the year in the Brazos Valley. After a brief warm up early week, a cold front moves through the Brazos Valley Wednesday, with high pressure helping to reinforce those temperatures midweek. Besides keeping temperatures leveled, this high pressure system keep conditions drier through the back half of the week and into the upcoming weekend. Our next cold front, a stronger system, will arrive Saturday in the Brazos Valley, bringing temperatures in the 50s Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Mornings are much colder around the 30° for the weekend. We’ll continue to monitor this forecast throughout the week for Southeast Texas, as these next couple of systems move through the region.
