Forecast Discussion:
Monday featured seasonably cool and sunny weather across the Brazos Valley, with similar conditions expected Tuesday, because of a low pressure system over Baja California. With the moisture from this system moving overhead, we’ll hold onto cloudier conditions through the first half of the day, with a stray shower or two not completely ruled out before the end of the day. A 20% chance for a few isolated showers to sprinkles are on the books Tuesday morning. Either way, many of us remain dry through midweek across the Brazos Valley.

Moving through the week, temperatures hover around seasonable averages in the 60s areawide. A cold front arrives in the Brazos Valley Wednesday, reinforcing this cooler air and keeping the heat away from Southeast Texas. High pressure eventually settles into the Brazos Valley, allowing us to stray dry through the end of the week, before our next cold front arrives Saturday. Temperatures drop into the 50s areawide Saturday and Sunday, with a stray shower or two not completely ruled out Saturday morning (as the front moves through). However, there doesn’t seem to be enough beneficial rainfall in the forecast to help alleviate drought conditions across the region for the foreseeable future.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
Tuesday: High 60. Low 41. Mostly Cloudy. 20% Chance/Rain.
Wednesday: High 65. Low 34. Sunny, Breezy.
Thursday: High 55. Low 38. Sunny.
Friday: High 66. Low 37. Sunny.
Saturday: High 58. Low 32. Sunny, Cool.
