Forecast Discussion:
Temperatures begin in the lower-to-middle 50s across the Brazos Valley Saturday morning, because of a combination of clear skies, drier air, and calm winds. While unseasonably “warm” for late February standards, it’s a nice way to start the weekend across the Brazos Valley, especially on a cool note. Unfortunately, warm, Gulf air fuels humidity back into Southeast Texas Saturday afternoon on a southerly wind shift. Either way, we’ll end February on a drier note across the Brazos Valley, with the region experiencing crippling drought conditions heading into a warm start to March 2026.

The afternoons through the weekend and into next week look to be warmer across the Brazos Valley. Afternoon highs run in the lower-to-middle 80s through the weekend and all the way through early March 2026, as high pressure grips much of the United States for the next few days. However, we’re experiencing a pattern breakdown by early March, as a series of disturbances move overhead, bringing a chance for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms from Wednesday through the weekend. Wednesday could bring a nice 60% chance for rain coverage, with isolated rain chances by the following weekend. Overall, while warmer, rainier weather is likely by next week.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
Saturday: High 83. Low 56. Sunny.
Sunday: High 82. Low 57. Partly Cloudy, Windy.
Monday: High 80. Low 62. Partly Cloudy.
Tuesday: High 85. Low 64. Partly Cloudy.
Wednesday: High 81. Low 64. Storms. 60% Chance/Rain.
