Forecast Discussion:
We’re moving into the first full week of March 2026 with warmer, possibly wet weather across Southeast Texas. Sunday does bring a few more clouds and areas of patchy fog to begin the day across the Brazos Valley, as morning temperatures begin around the 60° mark. Spring-like weather continues across the Brazos Valley, as skies slowly start to clear out through the afternoon hours. Highs move into the lower 80s across the region, with a southerly wind blowing 10-15 mph with gusts upwards to 20 mph. A perfect, but very warm, end to the weekend across the Brazos Valley. Warm weather continues into next week, with chances for rain.
High pressure moves eastward, allowing Coastal Texas to reign in the winds of the Gulf early-to-midweek. With this high moving out, a series of disturbances will work with that rainmaking moisture to create added rain chances midweek through the weekend for Southeast Texas. With a couple of cold fronts stalling north through the week (keeping us away from the cooler weather), these disturbances will tap into that moisture and create those rain chances beginning Tuesday. The added moisture is expected to trigger scattered showers and a few possible stronger thunderstorms through the end of the week. By the weekend, Saturday brings the best chance for rainstorms (70% coverage). Either way, rain chances or not, temperatures linger in the 80s.
5-Day Weather Outlook:
Sunday: High 82. Low 56. Partly Cloudy.
