Forecast Discussion:
Moving into the upcoming week with warm, possibly wet weather across Central and Southeast Texas. Partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower-to-middle 80s carried us through Sunday afternoon and evening. Overnight, temperatures settle in the middle 50s with a gusty southerly wind fanning 5-15mph with gusts upwards to 20 mph alongside patchy fog through Monday morning. Spring weather continues through the entire week, as afternoon highs are consistent in the 80s across the Brazos Valley. The next several days bring partly sunny, warm weather for any outdoor plans, but changes arrive late Tuesday and lasts through the weekend.

By the start of the week, high pressure begins to move east, allowing Gulf winds to lull in rainmaking moisture into Southeast Texas. That, combined with a stalled cold front to the north, and a series of disturbances, ignite scattered thunderstorm chances Wednesday (50%) for the Brazos Valley. While temperatures won’t move much this week, rain chances last through the end of the week, before building back up on Saturday (80%). Sunday brings a 60% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms as well. As with all spring-like weather, a few stronger storms are possible throughout the week, which is something we’ll need to monitor.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
Monday: High 80. Low 60. Partly Cloudy.
Tuesday: High 84. Low 65. Partly Cloudy.
Wednesday: High 81. Low 65. Storms. 50% Chance/Rain.
Thursday: High 85. Low 67. Partly Cloudy. 20% Chance/Rain.
Friday: High 85. Low 64. Rainy. 40% Chance/Rain.
