A FREEZE WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MOST OF THE BRAZOS VALLEY THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. Colder temperatures are expected overnight Monday into Tuesday morning across the Brazos Valley, making it one of the coldest mornings during the late winter season. Temperatures are expected to dip below/at freezing (32°) through mid-morning Tuesday across the Brazos Valley. Lows bottom out in the upper 20s to middle 30s locally, with a light freezer possible across the northeastern regions of the Brazos Valley. Others can expected patchy frost to begin the day. Madisonville, TX is heading for a low of 29° Tuesday morning, so be sure to bring in your outdoor plants and pets, while also covering your tender gardens. Have an extra blanket on the bed and allow enough time to warm up your vehicle in the morning.

Afternoon highs quickly climb into the lower 60s Tuesday afternoon in Southeast Texas. Much of the upcoming week brings sunny, warming weather, as highs move into the middle 70s across the Brazos Valley Wednesday afternoon. Highs reach the 80° mark Thursday afternoon before temperatures could touch the 90° mark for the first time this year over the weekend for several days. Through the extended forecast (7-10 days out), we’ll look to wrap up the final full week of March with quiet, sunny, warm weather.
