Forecast Discussion:
One of the coldest mornings of the winter season occurred Tuesday morning, as lows dipped around freezing (32°) across the Brazos Valley, prompting a freeze warning through the mid-morning hours. However, a warming trend is expected to take over the Brazos Valley through the rest of the week and into the upcoming weekend. Temperatures could approach record warmth across Southeast Texas, well above the seasonal average for late March standards. In fact, much of the extended forecast is expected to be drier and warmer, as we wrap up the month of March 2026 and head into early April 2026.

Highs move into the middle 70s Wednesday afternoon across Southeast Texas. Thursday seems those temperatures move back into the lower 80s before the weekend brings the warmest temperatures of the 2026 calendar year. In fact, the Brazos Valley could reach the 90° Saturday afternoon for the first time this year. Additionally, high pressure continues to influence our forecast, keeping rain chances away from the Brazos Valley. Once high pressure shifts a bit, temperatures could dip back into the lower 80s by early next week (some seven days from now). For now, enjoy a few more cool mornings before warmer afternoons arrive.
