Forecast Discussion:
Sunshine starts us off this week, but temperatures are a bit “cooler” across the Brazos Valley. Lows begin around 60° across the Brazos Valley. Then, a weak cold front stalls just north of the Brazos Valley early week, as afternoon highs wrap up in the lower 80s Monday afternoon. By Tuesday, that front lifts north and away from Coastal Texas, bringing in Gulf winds and temperatures in the middle 80s across the Brazos Valley. As the region pulls in Gulf moisture, patchy fog is expected to develop with lows around the 60° mark expected through the week.

One of the biggest aspects of the forecast the Brazos Valley is lacking is rainfall. The next seven days doesn’t feature any rainfall in the forecast, as temperatures are feeling more summerlike outdoors across the Southeast Texas. However, the rain department looks more hopeful as we move into April 2026. A more active weather pattern is expected with the potential for greater rainfall the first week of April, as the US Jet Stream moves around. Of course, it’s too early to determine impacts, timing, and the amount of these rainstorms. For now, break out the sunscreen, shades, and use caution in this heat, because heat exhaustion or stroke can occur quickly during the peak of the day.
