Forecast Discussion:
Our latest cold front is clearing the Brazos Valley late Friday night into very early Saturday morning, ushering in howling northeasterly winds and blowing up to 25 mph at times. Passing light showers are also possible, as this cold front moves through the Brazos Valley, but many of us are expected to remain dry through the overnight hours. Little to no accumulation is expected, but if anything does fall it’ll be very light and brief for a select few of us overnight. Through the weekend, temperatures are expected to be cooler, but how long does that actually last?
On a nice note, temperatures are cooler through the day Saturday locally. Depending on how long the clouds hang around will determine how cool temperatures can get throughout the day. Either way, temperatures begin in the lower-to-middle 50s across the Brazos Valley Saturday morning. Afternoon highs could climb into the lower 70s Saturday afternoon locally, but if clouds linger longer, some of us could stay in the 60s areawide Saturday. In Madisonville, TX, temperatures are headed for a high of 69° late Saturday. Temperatures fall a few more degrees Sunday morning into the lower 50s, before we rise up the thermometer Sunday afternoon and clear the 80s before the end of the day. The first week of April is expected to bring the potential for better rain chances, as a series of spring systems swing through Texas. By Easter Weekend, there could be a nice chance for rain on the books.
