Forecast Discussion:
Several chances for rainfall are expected throughout the week across Central and Southeast Texas. A large signal that rainfall is possible over the week is the muggy, warm, and cloudier weather pattern over the next seven or so days. A few isolated showers cannot be ruled out through the middle part of the week (particularly Wednesday) across the Brazos Valley, although many are expected to remain dry. With high pressure sliding east and a series of troughs (and a cold front) move in, a more active weather pattern is expected through the week. Wednesday night and Thursday bring the first decent chance for rainfall across the Brazos Valley, with a line of showers and thunderstorms moving through the State of Texas to end the week.

A cold front moves through Southeast Texas Saturday, keeping the rain chances going across the region. A 60% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected throughout the day Saturday, with cooler temperatures in the 60s wrapping up Sunday evening. It is still too early to determine the timing or impacts of these storms, but any beneficial rainfall is always welcomed in a drought-stricken Brazos Valley. For now, no need to cancel any church outings or egg hunts Sunday, as the Easter Bunny shouldn’t have any problem delivering those goodies to end the weekend.
