Forecast Discussion:
After a week of heavy rainfall, flooding, and severe weather across the Brazos Valley, quiet and cooler conditions wrapped up our Easter Sunday. The upcoming week features coolish, sunny weather to begin the week before a chance for scattered rain arrives next weekend across the Brazos Valley. For tonight, morning lows dip in the upper 40s to lower 50s across the region Monday morning. Sunshine and highs in the seasonable lower 70s carry us through the afternoon hours Monday across Southeast Texas. A light northerly breeze is also on hand across the Brazos Valley, making Easter Monday a wonderful one to get out and enjoy.
Through the week, temperatures run in the 70s and lower 80s across Southeast Texas. By the upcoming weekend, rain chances are back on the books across the Brazos Valley. A 30-40% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday through Sunday across Central and Southeast Texas. A few stronger storms are possible, but it’s still too early to determine how much rainfall or what impacts can be expected, but any rainfall will help to alleviate drought conditions heading into April 2026.
