Forecast Discussion:
Clouds and passing showers lingered across the Brazos Valley throughout the day Monday. Temperatures tried to break out of the 70s, but struggled with all the added clouds and rain showers. Scattered showers continue through Monday evening, as a low pressure system slides eastward across the Brazos Valley midweek, bringing another chance for widespread rain Tuesday and Wednesday in the Brazos Valley. Rain chances through the middle of the upcoming week as a result.

An upper-level weather pattern swing brings a chance for showers and thunderstorms across Central and Southeast Texas. There is a 90% chance for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for the Brazos Valley Tuesday, with minor flooding and heavy rainfall rates being the largest concern heading into the middle of the week. Another disturbance moves near the Brazos Valley Wednesday, bringing a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. The coverage for rainfall is about 60% across the Brazos Valley, slightly lower than Tuesday’s forecasted rain chance. By the weekend, we’ll be darting isolated showers and thunderstorms, with a 20-30% chance on the books Friday through Sunday. Most of the heaviest rain activity looks to be north of our area. A quarter to a half inch of is up for grabs through the weekend, with higher isolated totals possible. Temperatures linger in the 70s most of the week.
