Forecast Discussion:
Another hot start to the week across Central and Southeast Texas. However, widespread rain chances are on the books each day this week after Monday for the Brazos Valley. Temperatures are expected to run in the upper 80s through Wednesday, before dropping into the upper 70s to lower 80s Thursday through the upcoming weekend across Southeast Texas. Morning lows are warm floating between 70°-80° each morning this week in the Brazos Valley. Skies are generally cloudier as well, as moisture and humidity levels continue to build up those rain chances heading into the middle and latter part of the upcoming week.

An isolated shower or storm is possible Monday afternoon in the Brazos Valley, before an incoming cold front (tied to low pressure) and a series of disturbances roll overhead, producing better storm chances Tuesday through Friday in the Brazos Valley. Wednesday and Thursday looks to bring the best chances for rainfall locally in Madisonville, TX, with coverage up to 80-90%. What remains uncertain is the intensity, timing, and location of these storms, so that’ll be something we’ll have to monitor over the next few days. Rainfall totals this week could add up to 3.00-5.00″ with higher isolated totals (especially northeastward) through the week. Scattered rainstorms are possible through the weekend.
