Forecast Discussion:
Quieter weather heading into the overnight hours for Central and Southeast Texas. Cloudier, rainy weather should keep the next several afternoons on the cooler side, with high temperatures lingering the middle/upper 80s through the remainder of the week and throughout the weekend across the Brazos Valley. Mornings are still warmish in the lower/middle 70s each morning across the Brazos Valley. If it isn’t raining the next few afternoons, it’ll be warm, humid, and cloudy to say the least across the Brazos Valley.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms remain on the books through the remainder of the weekend across the Brazos Valley. The combination of an upper-level low pressure system arriving from the west and a slug of tropical moisture boosts our rain chances this weekend. Of course, heavy rainfall is expected across much of the Lone Star State as well. In the Brazos Valley, midday Saturday through Sunday brings the greatest chance for widespread rain activity. Either way, we’ll watch for those heavier tropical downpours, especially during the afternoon/evening hours across the Brazos Valley this weekend. Rainfall totals could manage upwards to 2.00″+ across the Brazos Valley by the end of the weekend, which of course could lead to some flooding concerns locally. Overall, residents can expect a few disruptions through the weekend, so keep the umbrella handy.
