Forecast Discussion:
Saturday brought passing showers and thunderstorms through the morning and early afternoon hours across the Brazos Valley. That front moved southward overnight towards Coastal Texas, taking all the passing rainfall with it, paving the way with hot and drier weather across the Brazos Valley. Temperatures dip in the lower/middle 70s areawide across the Brazos Valley by Sunday morning, with a less humid, stick feel outdoors to begin the day because of that latest summertime “cool” front in Southeast Texas.

Even though temperatures begin “cool”, afternoon temperatures are on the hotter side locally to begin the month of August. Temperatures move into the middle/upper 90s across the Brazos Valley Sunday afternoon and evening under sunny skies. Some of us could even flirt with the 100° mark outdoors. Another upper-level weather pattern takes over Central and Southeast Texas through the upcoming week, bringing hotter and drier conditions to the Brazos Valley. With the sea breeze blowing in across Southeast Texas, we’ll keep the typical summer weather pattern in place throughout the upcoming week with highs closer to the 100° mark and a quick 10% chance for passing showers through the back half of the day. Temperatures look to be the hottest early-to-midweek across the Brazos Valley. Take caution in the outdoor heat, check on your neighbors, and stay hydrated outdoors.
