Forecast Discussion:
The upcoming work week is looking to be hot and drier than we once thought, as high pressure slowly shifts just northeast of Texas and drier air filters into the atmosphere over the Brazos Valley. Overall, the rain chances for the upcoming week are almost non-existent for the Brazos Valley because of this combination of drier air and receding high pressure. Still, the sea breeze could stir up a few isolated showers and bubbling thunderstorms during the late afternoon and early evening hours through the middle of next week, but those across the far Southern Brazos Valley has the best chance of finding any minimal rainfall.

Hot and humid conditions are expected across the Brazos Valley either way, as afternoon highs move into the middle/upper 90s each day this week. Overnight lows are also muggy across the Brazos Valley in the middle/upper 70s each morning. There is a surge in tropical moisture that is expected around the middle of the upcoming week from the Gulf. In turn, that could slightly bump local rain chances by the start of the upcoming weekend in the Brazos Valley. Overall, hot, humid, drier, and sunny weather carries us through the next seven days and into the middle of the month of September across the Brazos Valley.
