Forecast Discussion:
Temperatures move into the middle/upper 90s through the remainder of the work week across the Brazos Valley, with morning lows in the lower-to-middle 70s areawide. Sunshine is in full force, as humidity slowly thickens across East and Southeast Texas throughout the week. With higher humidity levels, heat index readings range 100°-105° outdoors each afternoon through the end of the week across the Brazos Valley, alongside the possible chance of a few isolated showers and bubbling thunderstorms during the late afternoon and early evening hours. However, the chance for noisy storms is only about 30% over the next couple of days across the Brazos Valley, with many remaining dry anyways.

With drier air filtering back into the Brazos Valley, rain chances slowly fade out by late week and allow humidity levels to fall off as well. In turn, afternoon highs drop into the middle 90s to end the week and move into the upcoming weekend. The real treat comes during the morning hours Thursday and Friday nights, as morning lows dip into the upper 60s before moving into the lower 70s over the weekend in the Brazos Valley. Enjoy it! Temperatures are still running above average in the 90s throughout the end of September (into next week). We’re hoping a brief break in the heat could come around early October with another potential fall front and maybe an additional rain chance for Southeast Texas. Lastly, the fall season begins Tuesday night, but it sure isn’t feeling like it.
