Forecast Discussion:
The next couple of afternoons bring hot temperatures and increasing Gulf moisture across Southeast Texas, as major changes are on the way for the Brazos Valley early October. Morning lows continue to run in the lower/middle 70s across the Brazos Valley through the next few days, as afternoon highs linger in the middle 90s as well each day. While an isolated rain shower cannot be ruled out Tuesday and early Wednesday, most of that rain arrives in the Brazos Valley mid-to-late week.

By the back half of the week, remnant moisture from Hurricane Polo interacts with Gulf moisture and an incoming cold front, bringing a widespread chance for rainstorms and flooding concerns in the Brazos Valley late week. Confidence says we’ll have our best chances for widespread showers and thunderstorms Thursday through Saturday in the Brazos Valley. With the threat for excessive rainfall, stronger storms, and flooding, please be weather aware, especially Thursday and Friday in the Brazos Valley.
