Forecast Discussion:
After beginning the month of October on a rainy note, cooler weather is on the way for the Brazos Valley this weekend and into much of next week. Several inches of rain fell across the Brazos Valley, with even burn bans being lifted for Madison and Houston Counties on Friday. Over the weekend, rain chances are still on the books, but those percentages dwindle as we move into early next week for the Brazos Valley. Regardless, we have enough moisture to work with this weekend, as rain chances linger in the forecast Saturday and Sunday, though they are scattered in nature locally. Overall, the chance is only 30% at best for the Brazos Valley.

I wouldn’t cancel in plans for the weekend, but keep in mind showers and a few rumbles of thunderstorms remain possible as that latest cold front works through the State of Texas. Speaking of cold fronts, temperatures drop into the 80s areawide for the next seven days across the Brazos Valley. However, the real treat comes in the mornings, with temperatures in the upper 60s this weekend, before a secondary cold front arrives to start the week and drops morning lows around 60° through the middle of next week. Overall, temperatures are more seasonable for October standards, instead of those pesky 90s we’ve been dealing with the past month or so.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
Saturday: High 84. Low 69. Partly Cloudy. 30% Chance/Rain.
Sunday: High 82. Low 67. Partly Cloudy. 20% Chance/Rain.
Monday: High 84. Low 61. Sunny.
Tuesday: High 84. Low 59. Sunny.
Wednesday: High 86. Low 61. Sunny.
