Forecast Discussion:
Moving into the first week of November with warm and humid weather across the Brazos Valley Monday afternoon, with high temperatures in the middle 80s and a breezy south wind. A surge in warm, humid Gulf air will fuel local rain chances for Tuesday, as our next frontal system approaches the Brazos Valley. First, temperatures are very unseasonable in the middle 60s areawide, with increasing clouds and passing showers through early Tuesday morning in the Brazos Valley. Temperatures begin to climb up the thermometer Tuesday before a cold front stunt those highs through the day in the Brazos Valley.
This latest cold front will bring impactful weather for Tuesday, as showers and thunderstorms race through the Brazos Valley, some of which could be on the stronger side and produce some localized flooding concerns through midweek. Latest model data filters these storms through the Brazos Valley early Tuesday morning (between 6-10AM) in the northern counties, pushing southward throughout the afternoon and evening towards the Gulf Coast. Once the cold front pushes offshore, temperatures dip around 50° Tuesday night, and highs drop into the lower 70s Wednesday through Friday. A reinforcing cold front arrives this weekend, dropping highs further into the 60s for the weekend across the Brazos Valley.
