Forecast Discussion:
Gearing up for another cloudy, humid start to Tuesday morning. Thicker humidity is expected through most of the week, because of a more recent wet weather pattern and a lack of drier air from cold fronts across the Brazos Valley. Mornings begin closer to the 70° mark each morning this week, before afternoon highs move into the lower-to-middle 80s each afternoon through the end of the week for the Brazos Valley. There is still enough moisture left over the atmosphere to allow for passing shower or two each morning and afternoon, but most of the week remains drier. A low trough, sweeping across the Great Plains, pulls a cold front into the State of Texas this week, but that frontal system likely falls short of the Brazos Valley. In turn, any cooler, rainy weather pattern remains well away from the region through the week.

Our next active weather system is expected to arrive this weekend across Southeast Texas. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible through Saturday afternoon and evening, with a 50% chance for rain on the books for Madisonville, TX. Saturday is a day to be weather aware, as there could be a few stronger storms in the forecast for the Brazos Valley. However, there is plenty of time to prepare the timing and impacts of these storms, if any severe weather is possible with that latest system. Behind this system, highs dip into the lower 70s to begin next week.
