Forecast Discussion:
The beginning of the weekend brought rain-drenched weather to the Brazos Valley, with nice rainfall totals in the gauge, as stellar, warm, and tranquil weather wrapped it up. Sunday was a touch warmer than Saturday, as highs moved closer to the 80° mark Sunday afternoon under sunny, warm weather across the Brazos Valley. With a light wind blowing, it was a wonderful day to get out and about before another chance for wet weather arrives this week for Central and Southeast Texas.

Monday and Tuesday brings highs back into the lower-to-middle 80s across the Brazos Valley, as high pressure allows warm, quiet weather to take place early week. Tuesday brings windier weather, as Gulf moisture pours warm, moist air back into Southeast Texas ahead of our next major rainmaker. Clouds roll in late Tuesday, as our next low pressure system (a trough and cold front) bring scattered showers and thunderstorms into the Brazos Valley Wednesday into Thursday. Temperatures stay in the middle 80s midweek, before dropping into the 70s to end the week. Temperatures linger in the middle 70s to lower 80s through the weekend as well across the Brazos Valley. Isolated rain chances continue into the weekend (and possibly into early next week), but the chance is 20-30% at best for coverage.
