Forecast Discussion:
Hot and drier weather is expected over the weekend as high pressure builds southward across the Lone Star State. Afternoon highs will climb into the lower to middle 90s areawide across the Brazos Valley throughout the weekend. Meanwhile, Gulf winds will funnel additional moisture into Southeast Texas, bringing higher humidity levels and heat index values into the triple digits each afternoon.

In addition to the heat and humidity, another plume of Saharan dust will move into the Brazos Valley this weekend, leading to hazy skies and the potential for reduced air quality, especially for those with allergies or respiratory conditions. Use caution if spending extended time outdoors this weekend. High pressure will also keep rain chances very slim through next week, and there are currently no signs of any impactful weather to close out the month of July. As a result, any significant rainfall will likely be few and far between.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
Saturday: High 92. Low 73. Mostly Sunny.
Sunday: High 93. Low 72. Mostly Sunny.
Monday: High 94. Low 72. Sunny.
Tuesday: High 96. Low 75. Sunny.
Wednesday: High 97. Low 77. Sunny, Hottest.
