Forecast Discussion:
Afternoon highs were cooler in the 70s and lower 80s across the Brazos Valley Sunday. This latest fall cold front is sliding off the coast of Texas to begin the new week, bringing a few last-minute showers to the Brazos Valley Sunday night into very early Monday morning. However, the chance is only 20% at best, and most remain dry through the overnight hours of Sunday locally. The upcoming week looks absolutely gorgeous for the Brazos Valley, with drier, sunny weather expected most days, but a chance for rainstorms is expected by the following weekend.
High pressure arrives in the area Monday, shoving this area of low pressure and cold front into the Gulf, providing us with warmer, sunny, and drier conditions for the upcoming week across Southeast Texas. Temperatures move into the middle/upper 80s areawide throughout the week, with mornings in the crisp-cool 60s across the Brazos Valley. Those morning temperatures are more seasonable for this time of the year, with the afternoons a bit above normal readings for early October standards. We’re monitoring a tropical disturbance in the Gulf, which could bring passing showers and thunderstorms by next weekend.
5-Day Weather Outlook:
Monday: High 84. Low 63. Mostly Sunny.
Tuesday: High 85. Low 62. Sunny.
Wednesday: High 88. Low 63. Mostly Sunny.
Thursday: High 89. Low 63. Mostly Sunny.
Friday: High 86. Low 62. Partly Cloudy. 20% Chance/Rain.
