Forecast Discussion:
We’re looking towards cooler weather to begin the week in the Brazos Valley, as a shot of reinforcing air moves through the Lone Star State early week. We’ll hold onto another chance for rainstorms Sunday, but the coverage isn’t as great as Thursday and Friday locally. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible, as this latest cold front moves off the Texas Coast Sunday. However, the coverage is only 40% at best for the Madisonville, TX area, so it isn’t a washout of a day, but I might would keep an umbrella handy in case a quick downpour or two occurs across the area.

High pressure pushes into Texas by the start of the week, moving this coastal low and cold front offshore of Texas Monday. In turn, that’ll produce a long stretch of drier, sunny days across the Brazos Valley. That high pressure system does push temperatures back into the middle 80s this week for the Brazos Valley, but it does allow for a few crisp-cool mornings to begin the week. Temperatures dip into the lower/middle 60s areawide throughout the upcoming week, meaning those readings are more seasonable for early October standards across Southeast Texas. While rain chances stay away most of the week, scattered rain is back in the forecast by the following week for the Brazos Valley.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
Sunday: High 80. Low 65. Rainy. 40% Chance/Rain.
Monday: High 84. Low 62. Sunny, Not as Cool.
Tuesday: High 85. Low 63. Sunny.
Wednesday: High 87. Low 62. Sunny.
Thursday: High 87. Low 62. Sunny.
