Forecast Discussion:
A reinforcing shot of drier air arrives in the Brazos Valley this weekend, as Hurricane Isais moves into the North Gulf Coast and pushes drier air on the western side of this system (also called the “clean side”). In turn, morning lows dip into the middle/upper 60s through the weekend, as temperatures easily cool down during the overnight hours in the Brazos Valley. With drier air in place, clouds are pushed aside and sunshine is in full force, driving afternoon highs into the upper 80s to lower 90s through the weekend and into the start of next week. The low humid and drier air will keep temperatures unseasonably warm, but not too extreme for October standards in the Brazos Valley.
Drier, sunny weather continues into the weekend across Central and Southeast Texas, as Hurricane Isaias makes landfall along the Florida Panhandle. This storm will start to weaken, but is expected to produce heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and life-threatening storm surge conditions through the weekend across the North Gulf Coastline. With that reinforcing drier air, the weather remains quiet, sunny, and drier through the weekend and into the next week. If you aren’t a fan of the heat and dry skies, rainier changes may arrive by the back half of next week for the Brazos Valley, so stay tuned for further details on this forecast.
