Forecast Discussion:
We’re moving right through the week with sunshiny, comfortable weather across Central and Southeast Texas, as high pressure influences our forecast and has kept this nice weather in place since our recent cold front. With high pressure systems gridlocked on each end of the nation (“called Omega Block”), this sunny, warm, and drier weather continues through the end of the week and into the upcoming weekend, with only a small noticeable change is the uptick of humidity and warmer air across the Brazos Valley. Even with a slight uptick in temperatures, it’s still so comfortable outdoors, especially during the morning hours.
The mornings are the best time to find seasonable Autumn air across the Brazos Valley through the week and into the weekend, with lows dipping into the 50s areawide. Afternoon highs slowly climb up the thermometer, as high pressure strengthens across the Brazos Valley, leading to afternoon highs in the middle 80s Thursday through the start of Sunday in the Brazos Valley. The only downside to drier, cool air is the elevate fire danger and allergies issues that come along with it, so use caution outdoors. By next week, a secondly cold front arrives in the Brazos Valley, keeping our mornings seasonably cool and afternoons comfortable. While we’re still a week out, our next round of storms could arrive around Halloween in the Brazos Valley.
