Forecast Discussion:
We’re ending the weekend, with a few weather changes for late October in the Brazos Valley. An area of low pressure slides eastward across the Central Plains, increasing our wind speeds on Sunday and elevating fire danger through the end of the weekend across the Brazos Valley. Additionally, clouds increased through the day Sunday, leading to cloudier skies heading into the new week across the area. With the added clouds, temperatures steady off and linger in the upper 70s to lower 80s across the Brazos Valley through most of the week.
By Tuesday, our next cold front looks to move through Texas, bringing cooler weather and a few rainstorms. However, this frontal system should fall well short of the Brazos Valley, keeping the largest rain chances away. However, a few light showers are possible, but the chance is only 40% or so through the middle of the upcoming week in the Brazos Valley. By the start of Halloween Weekend, a stronger weather system (potentially a cold front) could bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to the Brazos Valley to kickstart the month of November. Overall, the chance is 40% for rain in the Brazos Valley Halloween Day. Temperatures a warm in the 80s through the end of the holiday weekend.
