Forecast Discussion:
A round of scattered showers and bubbling thunderstorms roamed the Brazos Valley Wednesday afternoon and evening. That activity has tapered out, leading to another foggy and warmer night ahead. With added Gulf moisture, clouds increase overnight Wednesday before areas of fog kickstart Thursday morning in the Brazos Valley, with morning temperatures in the lower 60s areawide. Upper-level high pressure slides back our way from the east on Thursday, keeping weather conditions dry through the day. However, a quick 10% chance for an isolated shower or two is possible before the end of the week before another weather change brings added rain chances to the forecast Halloween weekend.

The best chance for passing showers and thunderstorms looks to be Friday evening through midday Saturday for Central and Southeast Texas. Most of the storm expected occurs before those trick-or-treating plans on Saturday evening and night, but we’ll keep an eye on the radar in case a few storms linger later in the day Saturday. Either way, most of the weekend should be good to go, avoiding an all-out washout weekend across the Brazos Valley. Beyond Halloween weekend, rain chances return early next week, as our next weather system… a cold front, moves through the region. In addition, cooler, fall air could arrive in the Brazos Valley around Election Day (Tuesday of next week), knocking lows into the 40s and 50s across the Brazos Valley.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
Thursday: High 81. Low 61. Mostly Cloudy. 10% Chance/Rain.
Friday: High 77. Low 61. Mostly Cloudy, Cooler.
Halloween: High 78. Low 61. Rainy. 40% Chance/Rain.
Sunday: High 81. Low 63. Partly Cloudy, Warmer.
Monday: High 82. Low 62. Mostly Sunny. 20% Chance/Rain.
