Forecast Discussion:
We’re beginning the month of November with a warmer, cloudy weather pattern across the Lone Star State, but a huge cold front is expected to move into the Brazos Valley Election Day. Overnight Sunday, foggy and cloudy weather lingers, with patchy fog possible after 5AM Monday morning. Please use caution on local roadways, especially in rural, low-lying areas across the Brazos Valley. Monday features warm and humid weather, as temperatures move into the middle 80s across the Brazos Valley with windy conditions (gusts upwards to 20mph possible late Tuesday). Then, a cold front is slated to reach the Brazos Valley Tuesday, bringing cooler temperatures and a chance for widespread rainfall.

This next frontal system brings a widespread chance for showers and strong thunderstorms Election Day (Tuesday) across the Brazos Valley, with some of these bringing heavy rainfall, lighting, thunder, and strong winds. Flooding could also become a concern throughout the middle portion of the week, with any heavier rainfall rates across the Brazos Valley. Latest model runs bring these stronger thunderstorms in the Brazos Valley early Tuesday morning across the northern counties before moving southward throughout the afternoon and evening towards the Texas Gulf Coast. Once the front clears the Brazos Valley, temperatures dip into the 50s each night throughout the remainder of the week, with highs in the lower/middle 70s through the weekend as well. A wonderful way to start the new month with better rain chances and cooler weather.

5-Day Weather Outlook:
Monday: High 83. Low 66. Cloudy – Clearing. Windy.
Election Day: High 75. Low 50. Storms. 90% Chance/Rain.
Wednesday: High 73. Low 48. Sunny, Cool.
