Forecast Discussion:
Sunny, hot weather carries us into the last couple of days of the month of May for the Brazos Valley. Morning lows dip around the 70° mark each morning before afternoon highs wrap the each afternoon up around the 90° mark throughout the upcoming weekend across the region. Areas of patchy fog are possible each morning as well, likely burning off mid-morning. Be sure to use caution on local, rural roadways, where fog is especially to be found through the early morning hours. A light south wind blows during the day this weekend, adding to the thickness of the heat and humidity outdoors for the Brazos Valley.

The upcoming weekend doesn’t see any a major weather shifts, so the rainfall forecast is flat for Central and Southeast Texas over the next few days. However, that doesn’t mean rain chances are completely off the books heading into early June 2026. An area of low pressure does sit across the Texas Panhandle Region, but it it only flings a few spotty showers over the next several days and doesn’t provide any major rainfall. By early June, weak high pressure situates itself over the State of Texas, keeping any major storm systems away from the area. However, we could find a few smaller disturbances creeping underneath the ridge of high pressure, leading to additional chances for rain next week.
