Texas Drought Monitor (09/03/2026)!

DROUGHT UPDATE: The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows worsening drought conditions across much of Texas. Here in the Brazos Valley, most of the 16-county region remains in Moderate Drought (D1).

It’s important to note that this week’s drought assessment is based on data collected Tuesday—before Tropical Storm Edouard brought widespread rainfall to Southeast Texas. As a result, the beneficial rainfall from the storm is not reflected in this week’s report but is expected to be incorporated into next week’s drought update.
